The overseers of Christ’s assembly are responsible to feed His sheep, for whom He has paid so great a price. In order to accomplish this, Jesus Himself has bestowed gifts upon specific individuals in the church that uniquely qualify and enable them to accomplish this significant task (Ephesians 4:7-14). Those to whom this duty has been given are responsible to handle God’s Word accurately (1 Timothy 2:15), live it out by personal example (1 Timothy 4:12 & 1 Peter 5:3), and to declare the whole purpose of God (Acts 20:26-27), apart from favorite passages and subjects.
To this end, we are committed to disseminating the truth of God’s Word trough a book by book, verse by verse approach. We may on occasion, focus for a brief time on a specific and timely topic – but our overall approach is verse by verse. It is imperative that the immediate, and overall context be allowed to control our understanding of specific passages. Our desire, ultimately is that the truth of God’s Word be taught in the power of His Spirit – to the building up of His church – to the praise of His glory.
