The Scripture speaks of the fact that the church belongs to the Lord Jesus personally, on account of His own sacrifice on it's behalf (Matthew 16:18And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it., Ephesians 5:23For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being savior of the body.). So Christ's church is to be directly accountable to Him (Ephesians 5:24But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.). It has been our desire to function in direct relation to the Head of the body - our Lord and Savior - without the intermediate interference of unscriptural hierarchy and denominational authority coming between the local assembly and her Lord.
