As we studied God's Word together, we became convinced that much - if not most - of the present day presentation of the gospel is from a very man-centered perspective. It seemed to us that this has permeated the very mindset of Christianity to the point that there seems to be very little open recognition in the church today that it is by His doing we are in Christ Jesus. It was not only important for Paul to make Christ known, but it was just as important to him how he made Christ known - so that the sinner's faith should rest solely on the power of God, not on the wisdom of men (1 Corinthians 2:5that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.).
